it’s a beautiful moment when you feel your mind, body, and soul all beginning to connect in ways that they haven’t before. i feel like I’m more in tune with my body than I have ever been. my mind wanders less during my daily meditation practice which allows me to have a deeper connection with myself. yesterday I met w a physical therapist to discuss my lower back issues & she recommended I pause my running routine (as i’ve done for the last 2 weeks) + gave me a few recommended stretches to incorporate until our next meeting. in the past, I would beat myself up & get so angry at my body for being injured. ⠀ ⠀ i’ve been content with going on daily walks followed by light weight exercises or yoga without feeling any guilt for not pushing my body to the extreme limits with distance runs or heavy lifting. my mind is meeting my body where it’s at and it just feels sooo good.
